day 11

Today we got up and had a great breakfest and headed out to the Falkirk wheel...this is totally amazing its like a lift that carrys boats from the upper part of the loch to the lower and viice versa huge and amazing to see and the only one in the world! It was really great to see we checked out all the displays and waled the gardens...mom fell in love with this black whispy sort plant looked fake so i sat down beside it and pulled a huge clump out and put it in my bag..lol...now its planted inthe back garden rotf!!! then we were off to Calander House which was truely amazing so much history we took the tour and saw so much .The kitchen is all as it was over 100 years ago and we saw everything from pots to wooden molds for baking we sampled a very old lemon tart recipe that thyey made and on weekends the roast an animal so glad we went today ewwww anyways this was so good to see and its on a huge piece of land with a park and a pond with swan padddle boats..lol we went into the tea room for tea and scones and then headed out again i took a ton of pics .We finished off the day with shopping of course we went to Matalan and got me a new sweater coat very nice and very warm. We came home and had dinner and we tried to keep it from tyler that it was halloween but the damn news man said happy halloween to everyone and that blew it...ugh my heart is breaking for him yes as an adult i know this trip is worth so much more but explain that to a 6 year old that loves to trick or treat.:(
